A private developer instructed Invent to carry out the design work for the redevelopment of a brownfield site near the town centre, that was previously used for car repairs. The brief was to maximise the potential of the site whilst still being sympathetic to the heritage of the town.

The local planning department were reluctant to allow 17 houses and apartments on the site which resulted in two refused planning applications. We successfully appealed the decision and obtained planning for our favoured scheme of 9 houses and 8 apartments with an innovative first floor garden area for the apartments.
