Purchased by a local developer in 2007 for his new home location we prepared designs for a new dwelling on this back-land location.

Working closely with the local authority and with the parameters of their design guidance for this area of Whitstable we created a modern interpretation of a typical ‘chalet-bungalow’ (now a popular design approach in this Coastal Town).

The property provides 4 double bedrooms with a link atrium space maximising the natural daylight into the heart of the property. A feature master bedroom suite was accessed via a bridge link through the central atrium.

The property was constructed in timber frame incorporating high levels of insulation throughout to offset the amount of glass in the central atrium and achieving a Code for Sustainable Homes accreditation.
